

A Heat Pump bearing the P-mark fulfils the requirements set out in SP's
certification rules for P-marking of Heat Pumps, SPCR 130.
The requirements have been drawn up by SP Energy Technology in conjunction
with manufacturers/suppliers and various authorities concerned. The product is
examined and tested of an independent third party.
A P-marked Heat Pump shall fulfil requirements concerning:
- Efficiency
- Safety and design
- Documentation
- Quality assurance of the production
The P-mark stands for higher requirements than the regulations stipulated by
the authorities. The P-marking regualations contains among others requirements
on coefficient of performance regarding heating as well as tapping sanitary hot
water and sanitary hot water quantity.
When the manufacturer has got one or more products certified, a certificate
will be issued allowing the manufacturer to put the P-mark on products covered
by the certificate. The manufacturer's own inspection procedures will be audited
every year, to guarantee that the produced products confirms with the certified
samples.
At the moment a number of Heat Pumps are subject for testing for P-marking. Heat pumps that have passed the testing and certification process will be listed below.
Marking
A P-marked Heat Pump shall in addition to the P-mark be marked with:
- The product's name
- Type designation and serial number
- The name of the certificate holder (and the manufacturer if not the same)
- The number of the certificate.
